Test your garage door openers sensitivity by placing a 2x4 on its side under the bottom of your garage door, and proceed to close the garage door with your remote. You may also use an empty cardboard box instead of a 2x4. Your garage door should touch the test object and automatically return to the open position. If your garage door does not pass this test, proceed to check your sensors. Check your sensors' alignment with a tape measure to ensure their evenness on both sides of the door. Verify the sensor wires are connected to your garage door opener.
